I guess I'll introduce myself too. Well I'm Shane from Manchester,UK and have been listening to music for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I really got into music, and since then discovered many fantastic artists the majority of which are really under-appreciated/under-heard, I'm sure I'll be sharing many of the aforementioned artists/bands on here, anyway;

Here we have Japanese musician Haruomi "Harry" Hosono's 1982 album Philharmony, which is just a small (but delicious) taste of the mind of this eclectic genius, the album is mostly made with electronic instruments, mixing ambient, instrumentals and vocal tracks together. It's a bit hard to listen to at first, it was for me anyway, but after a few listens I couldn't stop!

He has become somewhat of a pioneer or electronica with his now legendary band Yellow Magic Orchestra but in fact he started off as a folk rock singer in the band Happy End and it all evolved from there.

The stand out track on this for me has got to be Sports Men, it's a pop masterpiece and imo, if this record doesn't interest you so far, it's worth it just for that one song.

A release put out on a 90s record label called "Majestic Sound Records" that put out material by bands that maintained the style of Japanese "Group Sounds" bands (currently succeeded by bands like the Bawdies) of the 60s. The Neatbeats seem to be the only properly documented band on this label, then again I'm only on the western net. Here's the record regardless, recorded in glorious mono! Haha. Includes scans of the front and back of the sleeve.

First, an introduction.
I'm vedicardi, superfag and 9/11 advocate extrodinaire. I live in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, and listen to music. Here I'll be posting some cool, rare local music (mostly 7"s) that I can find, as well as a few other odds and ends. Any original content I put up will typically be a vinyl rip, with little exception, at 320. I think that about covers everything! Now, the subject at hand;

Official Band Bio

You can still buy the record online through online order. Phyical copies only though! They come with a lyrics sheet and a cool DIY patch, and the record itself is on blue vinyl. If you like it, pick it up! It's only 4 dollars! The link to buy it is on the band bio above.

The first track really stands out to me, and the lyrics on "Punk Rock High School" are great. I love all female punk bands, I tell ya.

Download includes hi-res scans of front and back of the sleeve as well as the lyrics sheet. Enjoy.
